Kiv Bui’s series that represents Olevy as a persona is her Doodle Art. Doodle art was the first creative concept where she fully expressed her creativity. Each pen stroke became a release of her thoughts and emotions.

Ink pen became Kiv's main "weapon" at the time. Through it, she joined online art communities and participated in friendly competitions with other doodle artists.

Her work included drawing moments from daily life, creating imaginative creatures and patterns, and developing her signature skull doodle style.

Kiv Bui’s doodle art concept has lasted since childhood, through the teenage years, and into early adulthood as well.

Kiv Bui’s creative doodle pattern evolution includes:

1. Freestyle drawings of real and fantasy subjects that came to mind.

2. Zentangle and floral patterns.

3. Mechanical steampunk designs with characters interacting with the patterns.

4. Original skull-and-bones patterns, where both the overall subject and the doodle elements became more intentional and creatively refined, reflecting her personal interests. She also became more careful with her linework and composition in each doodle element she placed on paper.

Working part-time as an instructor and teacher assistant allows her to live out this role.

However, beneath her strong and radiant exterior, Love carries a lot of internal pressure. She is very hard on herself and struggles to allow rest or emotional vulnerability. Much of her drive comes from a deep need to meet expectations, both from others and from herself.

Kiv Bui’s series that represents Love as a persona includes her brand project, Omamori, The Protector. During this time, her work often combined watercolor painting with kimono washi paper collage, showing her interest in Japanese traditional elements. This was also when she gradually shifted from traditional to digital art.

Omamori, The Protector was an original series of artwork, stories, and characters that defined Kiv Bui's 1st brand identity before The Lost Soul Kingdom. The series focused on the theme of good fortune and hope, with each character designed as a symbolic charm representing protection and positivity.

Kiv Bui created these artworks in her early 20s during her early years of college. She was focusing on expressing her skill and gathering attention and love to her creative by create art that are colorful and hopeful.

Her creative evolution is reflected throughout these series of artworks:

1. Beginning with traditional mixed media and collage, she experimented with watercolor, alcohol markers, tea staining, colored pencils, and washi paper collage.

2. As she learned digital media, she further emphasized her skills in color usage, complex compositions, detailed perspectives, and subject development.

3. She then began creating subjects with deeper narratives, while learning motion graphics and animation. During this period, she started exploring themes that were more personal, while still keeping them socially relatable for viewers.

Evol’s body has a semi-translucent skeletal design, where her form lightly shows the structure underneath. This represents transparency and psychological depth. Her visual style combines royal-inspired fashion with dark skeletal academia elements.

Evol's spiritual creatures are spirits, animals, and humans from The Lost Soul Kingdom, where animals and humans have see-through skin that reveals their skeletons underneath.

Evol is calm, reserved, and grounded. She listens and observes more than she speaks, and she acts with intention rather than reaction. She values clarity, stability, and control over her inner world, choosing awareness instead of impulse.

Her presence is steady and composed, especially when others feel overwhelmed. Evol focuses on self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-respect. After living for validation for a long time, she learned that responsibility begins with oneself. She believes caring for others should not come at the cost of her own mental health.

In her role as a therapist, she shows care through presence, listening, and guidance. She understands that supporting others does not require self-sacrifice. She has learned to give in a balanced way, allowing her to stay stable while still being there for others.

However, this strength can become rigid. At times, Evol becomes overly strict, controlled, and emotionally distant. In protecting her peace, she may limit how much she allows herself to feel, creating a sense of distance from her own emotions. Even so, Evol provides structure, clarity, and stability. She grounds the system, especially in moments that require focus and calm. She is not there to suppress emotion, but to support balance.

Kiv Bui’s work that represents Evol is centered around The Lost Soul Kingdom, as well as the creative products and services made for her store, Skeletal Academia.

Skeletal Academia reflects Kiv Bui’s childhood dream of creating a skeleton-themed shop. When she was younger, her interests were sometimes misunderstood, but she still held onto the idea of building her own skeleton-inspired brand, which she later achieved.

While Skeletal Academia and The Lost Soul Kingdom serve different purposes, Evol connects the conceptual and practical sides of Kiv’s work.

The Project about Evol Narcissia, was inspired by one of Kiv Bui’s personas, which began to take form in her mid-20s, around early 2020. This period also marked the beginning of her pursuit of a degree in Psychology; the foundation of her journey toward healing from the childhood trauma and depression she had carried throughout her youth. While previous therapeutic approaches had not provided the support she needed, education offered her a sense of structure, trust, and discipline.

Through her studies, Kiv developed a deeper understanding of her own psychological development—from childhood into adulthood. This process of self-discovery became a primary source of inspiration for the creation of Evol. As she progressed in her healing journey, Kiv expressed her growing interest in psychology through the conceptualization and development of The Lost Soul Kingdom and its interconnected narratives.

Alongside her academic path, Kiv founded her small business, Skeletal Academia. Within this parallel framework, Evol embodies the role of a psychologist and memorial. artist at her clinic, also named Skeletal Academia. In contrast, Kiv’s real-world work focuses on illustration and product design, creating a duality between creator and creation.

Similarly, Evol’s work in memorial painting reflects Kiv’s own creative practice, particularly her work in producing psychologically driven memorial artwork for clients honoring their loved ones.

Kiv Bui found her final creative identity in her mid-20s and continued to embrace it into her 30s. Despite maintaining a consistent brand identity, she continues to show growth in every project she works on.

Her creative evolution includes:

1. Illustrating multiple series of artworks, including The Lost Soul Kingdom, On Grey Days, and Skeletons As Friends.

2. Producing souvenir products such as stickers, postcards, enamel pins, keychains, and more.

3. Found Skeletal Academia her own creative product and service shop. Starting a monthly mail subscription service to send out her souvenir products. Through this, she began building connections with her audience and fellow artists around the world.

4. Investing in more advanced projects that required a deeper understanding of material production, manufacturing communication, and production management. She designed and developed her own advanced projects from A to Z, including her leather product lines and apparel collections.

VVV remains nonchalant, humble, and down to earth. After a long journey of exploration, pressure, rebuilding, and healing, she reaches a point where she no longer needs to constantly adjust herself. She is no longer trying to survive different versions of herself. She is simply living.

VVV follows a more ordinary daily routine—working, living, and moving through society without the pressure to stand out or perform. She allows herself to rest, create, and enjoy what she loves outside of work hours. Her world becomes smaller, calmer, and more intentional, focused only on what truly matters to her.

VVV still struggles with her hyper-awareness of those she cares about, and their validation still plays a role in her life. At times, she does experience intense emotions that can feel overwhelming, but she no longer lets them define who she is. She no longer feels the need to hide or change herself, nor to act tough. She allows herself to be vulnerable, to feel sadness, anger, and rest without guilt. She no longer blames herself for everything or tries to control her emotions just to stay composed. She allows herself to rest fully without feeling like she has to earn it.

When she needs support, Olevy, Love, and Evol are there for her. Each one reflects something she needs—curiosity, warmth, and grounding—in their own way.

Kiv Bui’s series of artworks representing VVV is The Personas. In this body of work, she explores different parts of herself, especially long-term interests. These shared interests connect all the personas as one. Drawing them interacting feels like depicting a group of friends. Through this, she expresses self-awareness and personal identity in a direct and open way. She especially enjoys showing how each persona reacts differently and emotionally responds to various topics.

Kiv eventually developed these four personas into a creative project titled The Personas: A Multi-Concept Girl Group. In this concept, they exist as a group of close friends and colleagues with an unbreakable bond—supporting one another, working together, expressing themselves synchronously under different creative concepts, and moving forward through life as a collective.

She decided to pursue a more traditional route in a corporate environment while moving her small business to the side.
