About:
I am Kiv Bui, an illustrator, merchandise designer, art instructor and a therapy assistant based in Los Angeles. I have been passionately running my independent artist brand for nearly 10 years. I graduated from California State University, Northridge, in Graphic Design, and from Otis College of Art and Design in Communication Art.
With a specialization in concept design and mixed media skill, I have created over a hundred full-page storytelling artwork, including multiple series of original designs, commissions and collaborative projects with renowned brands and well known artists around the world.
My approach to teaching aligns with my years of creative practice. I often encourage my students to push their creative boundaries, think outside the box, and explore new perspectives. I emphasize the importance of blending disciplined learning with creative freedom, helping students challenge themselves while having fun in the process.
